Plagiarism Detector shows the exact percentage of plagiarism in a document. It has a user-friendly design and it is very easy to use. It does not only detect how much of the text is plagiarized, but also checks for quotes and links. It is fully compatible with MS Word and PowerPoint. It doesn't necessarily require an Internet connection to work. The Database can be downloaded and with it the program can work in an offline mode.
Selecting a file to scan is pretty easy with the Step-by-step Wizard. First, it will ask you to upload a document. The program supports many kinds of files like txt, ppt, html, doc and more. After that you will reach step two, where you have some checking options and you can click the start check button.
It does take quite some time before it finishes scanning and a chart will be shown with some preliminary results, that will give you a broad idea of what to expect. After that the program displays the Report window where the results are shown. If you scanned a lot of documents you can have them sorted by different factors.
The advanced report viewer is definitely the most useful feature of the program. It shows exactly which portion of text is plagiarized and the source it came from.
Ultimately I was satisfied with the results of the program check, the report was accurate. The fact that the program is so easy to use is definitely a plus.
